Long before the world went green, ACME went… squirmy. The company’s 1903 experiment with “Worm-Powered Tractor Shoes” promised an eco-friendly way to plow fields—so long as the worms were motivated. Unfortunately, the worms unionized after two weeks, demanding better soil and weekends off. Production halted, but the legend wriggled on.
